Job Description:
ICF International is seeking technically knowledgeable and creative 3D Artist/Modeler to create re-usable art assets required for the creation of Content Packs. (Characters, props, environments and animations to be utilized within the simulation products) This is a Telecommute position, to support a DoD client.

  • Work with a team of highly talented programmers, artists and designers
  • Provide technical leadership and have the ability to anticipate and resolve project roadblocks using available software and tools
  • Work well under pressure and can handle multiple tasks
  • Contribute to rapid prototyping of design mechanics and game-play systems

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience of creating in-game art assets
  • 5+ years of experience in modeling, texturing, technical concepts and real time rendering
  • Proven experience in 3D Studio Max and Photoshop
  • Proven experience in character and object rigging, storyline and design, lipsyncing and facial animation, natural motion
  • Animation skills (2 and 4 legged characters)
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • BS Degree in engineering, physics or computer science

Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Write code in C#, C++, Adobe Flash and Flex or other object oriented languages a plus
  • Experience as a developer, designer, and/or director of commercial gaming or simulation projects
  • Experience in GUI design and implementation
  • Knowledge of SCORM
  • Knowledge of web enabled clients, networking, and connection to Learning Management Systems( LMS )
  • Instructional design methodologies
  • Keen eye for lighting, shading, color, detail and form
  • Proven modeling skills
  • Proven texturing skills (through original art and photo reference)
  • Next Gen game industry modeling and texturing experience
  • Knowledgeable of serious game genre and application in military simulation and homeland security
  • DoD experience a plus
